Creative Practice: Stay At Home

Coping With Stay At Home & Life In Montana

Here in Whitefish, besides my favorite coffee shop and the yoga studio being closed, my life is about the same.

I am still skiing, biking and walking with my home yoga practice to keep me grounded. The studio is my refuge and the best social isolation I have found, even in the best of times.

When speaking to a few of my gallery directors, I hear the same thing,

“Make Great Art!”

This will be the strategy that guides me through the year. I am slowly settling into studio practice, unpacking my sketchbooks and seeing what months of travel have brought into the paintings.

I have taught yoga for over fifteen years at The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center. It was such an honor to record this yoga class for their online offerings since they formally closed their doors to the public due to safety concerns related to COVID-19.

They continue to be a leader in our community and even gave permission to share this video with the world. It takes about an hour and is for all levels. You can add more savasana (final relaxation) at the end and also hit the pause button and insert a favorite pose here and there.

Namaste and Enjoy!
